I 34 (just!) and have been charting and actively ttc for 5 months, this is our 6th month charting. We will go see a Dr if I don't get pg this month as we haven't used contraception for about 8-9 months, but we weren't 'trying' before chartng IYKWIM.

I'm not sure if falling pg is harder for me than it was in my 20's (got pg before even getting a period after coming off the pill at about 25), but maybe getting the baby to stick has been a little harder? But it has been established I am (WAS!) an ultra early HPT tester so it's entirely possible I am picking up on v early m/c I wouldn't have picked up on had I just left the stupid HPT alone! *mutters at self* lol

Even though I've had some bad luck and feel a bit low at times, when I have seen my Dr about it, he doesn't seem concerned in the slightest and I have a feeling should we go to him after this month, he will just say 'come back in another 6'.

Anyway, this might be our month as DP has promised (and I quote) 'lots of top quality sh****ing for a week during ov'....lol awww how sweet (I think?  )

Hi, I'm 34. Stopped taking the pill in July after taking it for about 15 years. Got pregnant in October. I noted the lenght of each cycle (days/dates etc) and looked on a site that told me when I was ovulating and made sure we did it on those days especially. I was expecting it to take a bit longer. Good luck to you all. Due in July this year

Thanks everyone for your responses.

& baby dust to those TTCing atm and good luck for those of you about to see docs.

As contradictory as it sounds once we actually start to TTC I'll prob relax a bit. It's just that right now the countdown to TTC is on and I'm sure I hear my biological clock ticking faster in the meantime.

I am pretty organised and I do have a calendar in which I note my AF days and figure out when future AF is due (which is like clockwork, I'm so regular) so I can work out a suspected ovulation time from there but I'm not sure about doing the proper charting (with body temps and mucous tests etc) not initially anyway.

I guess I just have to be patient for awhile and ignore that blasted body clock.

I'm 35 and have been trying for 13 months (although only for 10 cycles during that time)and have been charting since the first cycle. I conceived during the 2007/2008 Christmas holidays and miscarried in Jan. I was about to go and see a fertility specialist before I conceived and now that its been a while and I haven't conceived again I'm planning to start up the process again.
