Topic: Ovulation Pain Posted: 11 October 2007 at 3:37pm |
Just a quick wee survey/opinion thing -
How many of you experience ovulation pain?
I have been quite crampy since about midnight last night and haven't felt this bad before, the pain I thought was ovulation pain was different to this, so I was wondering if others experienced cramps like I have at the moment (I've never really had them like this before - well, not while TTC).
It feels like a period cramp at the moment. Is this normal or common?

I get stabbing pains too usually only on one side but yesterday morning I had it on my right side then last night it was on my left side! After the stabbing pain fades it feels tender like someone has punched me. Sometimes the next day I get AF craps but don't last long. Well I think it happens sometimes, it happened this morning.

I get quite bad ovulation pain too- sometimes for the whole 2ww as well! Lately has been a bit less (after years of it) so am hoping I had a cyst or something that is dying down. Mind you I'm also relaxing a lot more about ttc so perhaps some of mine was pyschosymatic? sure as heck didn't feel like it at the time though, it's a very very real pain! Can you go to a Dr and get a scan or something?

I've been having Ov pains since mid-this year - for the first time ever. It's like strong AF cramps for a week up to Ov and finishing (and worst) on that day. Then I get some relief and get it all over again 2 weeks later for AF! I had it in June, July, August, Sept... I think August was the worst, Sept wasn't as bad, I haven't had any cramps for Oct yet but it might be a bit early to say. My guess is that I had a cyst that sorted itself out.

I tend to get a feeling of presure on the ovulating side which increases if I have a full bladder. As it progresses the pressure turns into pain and then there's the uncomfortable stabbing pain that happens whilst bding for a couple of days!
Also get back pain some months.
