    Posted: 18 May 2006 at 8:41am
AS you'll probably remember, miss Paris had a bit of a heart murmer which they referred her for finally after picking it up at 15 months and not really doing a hell of alot about it. well, on tuesday we went for all her heart tests, echocardiogram, ecg, chest xray, and they have found out that indeed she does not have that "common" hole in between the two sides of her heart like usual heart murmer sounds would cause. Instead they have found that one of the major valves between her heart and her Aorta is deformed.. instead of having 2 flaps that open and close, she has 3 deformed ones, and it does not close properly which means blood leaks back into her heart.

We have not yet had any meeting with the docs, but apparently we will have one once our GP gets the results in a week or so. They did however mention that she would have to get used to having echocardiograms, (she was fine for first half hour till a scary doctor that looked like colonal sanders, the KFC guy, came in and sat next to her and she started freaking out and crying hard out) so i am picking that means that her treatment will involve constant monitoring and trips up to the hospital..

argh, sucky suck.

so next step will be to see if Ayja has anything like that too i spose, and i guess just see how the heart valve goes as she grows, whether it still remains functional - so no ideas what the future holds at all - poor girl, sucks so much.

this week we all went out and got those heart kids wrist bands and she is wearing her religiously - has not taken it off except for bed and bath. lets hope we never have to reap the benefits of the money we paid for them.
