Hi everyone I'm 5 weeks pregnant with number 2, and still happily breastfeeding miss 13 months. Just wondered what peoples experiences have been being pregnant with one on the boob? I don't plan to wean til around 18 months. What's struck me as strange is when I was pregant with DD, I had really sore boobies straight away, but this time they feel normal. Not complaining, but it does seem a bit weird. Anyones stories appreciated |

I thought I'd keep feeding until I was 6 months preg (so my daughter would have been around 18 months) but she just weaned herself at 14 month anyway.
And yep, for my last pregnancy I had really sore boobs in the first trimester but this time it was much later - around 20 weeks that they've gotten mega achy and super sensitive. I did wonder if it was something to do with the BF'g.

I didn't get sore boobs the 2nd time round while BFing Kiara either (and them real bad when i was pregnant with her!) however about the 10-12 week mark my nipples got super sensitive/sore and still haven't gone back to normal. I'm just weaning Kiara now (she was already down to one feed and I'm doing don't offer/don't refuse) and I haven't noticed any improvement.
My milk did diminish a bit but Kiara didn't seem to mind too much, they say it changes the taste but she didn't mind that either!

I haven't had sore boobs this time around either which is great! C hasn't complained at all so I think my milk is still OK.
When I was preggy with DD and still b/feeding DS1 my boobs were really sensitive and in the end I ended up weaning him at 16 months because I couldn't face feeding him |

My nips are rather sensitive, it didnt happen for the first couple of weeks, but they definately are now!
Im on one domperidone tablet a day, my milk dropped a lot when I got a cold when i was 4 weeks, and then when I got Noro it dropped again, but its good now (have been weaning off) so hopfully dropping that last tablet this week.
I am hoping to feed DD till she self weans, hopfully after 2yo, she hasnt minded any change in milk so far, so im hoping that will continue (she still feeds 6 times a night, but only 3 times a day, Im hoping she night weans soon!)

My nipples are way more sensitive. It means it's usually a little uncomfortable, and sometimes painful, but it doesn't bother me too much. I'm planning on keeping it up for a while yet.
