Seaview, that's fantastic news. Do you think you'll get another scan before the 12 week one?

I'd like to Cridic, maybe about 10 weeks as that would be past last loss. Or maybe even two at 8 and 10 weeks. But I'm of two minds because the regular monitoring this week has actually been very hard mentally.

I found monitoring with bloods very stressful last pregnancy so haven't had anything yet. I do find scans reassuring though. I will get 2 at least before 12 weeks. First is booked for 7.5 weeks. Second hopefully around 9-9.5 weeks What are you doing cridic?

nzveggie Ive been given a form from my Dr for a scan at about 10 weeks... but am in two minds. At the moment I feel so un-pregnant (no sickness and hardly any symptoms) I think I'd want to get it done.

Fair enough. To be honest I don't see why ppl wouldn't have extra scans in our situation if they're on offer. Either you get some lovely reassuring news or you get the news we all dread. But if rather know sooner than later if it is the dreaded bad news so either way I think it's useful. And every time you see a heart beat and you're further along your hancr of miscarriage gets lower and lower!!!!

I agree ladies, bring on the scans! I'm having another one at next weekend (as long as I can get in) at 9wks. My nausea has been not nearly as bad the past few days & haven't vomited at all. Argh so much worry!!! Bub is double the size as what my last pregnancy got to which I guess is a good 'milestone'.

Yaya cridic! 8 weeks. I too hope bubba is growing nicely. Hard to know everything is going ok when we don't have a window to our insides!!! I haven't got a lot of symptoms. Just extreme exhaustion and sore boobs. But it's still very early days as well!

I had some spotting last night when i wiped and brown discharge today when I wiped. Ended up in tears to my boss and left this arvo for a scan and another HCG after a trip to the GP. Scan was fine but I'm so scared. I wih there was something I could do.

Oh mac I'm so sorry this has happened. But remember…. loads of woman get spotting and it doesn't necessarily mean anything's wrong with the pregnancy!!! I hope it stops, you don't get any more spotting and you are able to relax a bit more! Must have been a relief to see that heartbeat again!!!!

Thanks NZveg, so stressful :( We heard the heartbeat too which is a first for me....such a huge relief! They still say they don't take the heart rate this early cos its not that accurate?! Has anyone else heard that? My midwife confirmed it but it would be nice to know.

I haven't heard that before. I thought they always took the heart beat. But I guess the important thing is that it's there! I will have my fingers crossed for you Mac!

So sorry for the fright mac, fingera crossed thats the end of it. They took the heartbeat on mine but maybe its a practice to practice type thing. I guess they would tell you if there was a real issue with it.
I had a rough weekend, two episodes of pinky brown blood when wiping after toilet and constant pale brown discharge the rest of the time. I really feel very negative. In fact I feel pretty convinced that the pregnancy has ended already. I think it happened on sunday. Symptoms seem to be fading too. im going to try and hang out until saturday to have a scan but the feeling that there is no baby anymore is very strong.

Oh seaview I know how you feel just filled with worry. Must be difficult not having had a scan but good on you for holding out. I really really hope that we both carry on with healthy happy pregnancies for the next 7 or 8 months or so xx

Ohhhh haha....we are in the same boat Hun. It's so tough I know....we can do this! I have HCG results coming through tomorrow and have told myself if they're good I need to take that and be positive...so much harder in practice. I have a horrible feeling also regardless of the reassurance xx
