Anyone find out that are pregnant with an IUD inserted? Did you have it taken out? Was bubs ok?
Took 2 pregnancy tests today and both positive and went for blood tests and will get results tonight.
 Im happy but shocked.

Congrats! Sorry I was just reading this and didn't want to run...several years ago my aunty conceived twins with an IUD in, the babies were fine, so its something that's probably easily dealt with. However i would see a doctor pretty soon as I think that the chance of ectopic pregnancy is increased with an IUD.

Haven't had this happen to me but I do know you MC or get ectopic preg way easier in this situation so best head to docs ASAP!

yea get to a doc so they can keep a close eye. once you get to 12 weeks you are sweet as anyone else. they leave the IUD in and do regular scans. unfortunately one of the girls in our due thread lost her baby around 9/10 weeks off the top of my head. There is a higher risk of MC but most cases are still fine. Congrats and good luck (sorry if i scared you :( )

   Hi!
My last pregnancy was an IUD baby.
The are two differnet schools of thought on whether the IUD is removed or left in during pregnancy. It also depends on where the IUD is located.
I have an awesome scan pic with baby & IUD sitting side by side LOL.
My IUD was found to be in my cervix so at 11 weeks preggy I had it removed. It was decided that the risk of infection (from iud being where the mucus plug formed) was higher than the risk of miscarriage (from the actual removal).
I went on to have my daughter without any issues.
First thing first is seeing a doctor & get a scan to see where IUD is really, then go from there

I didnt get the IUD inserted at the doc as my doc didnt do them and i had it done through family planning. I have talked to my midwife who is the one who sent me for bloods, she said they can take it out of leave it, im not sure how far along i am or if the IUD is actually still in as i cant feel the strings.

I always check for them and have been able to feel the strings, until now. Going to family planning tomorrow to see what to do next.

Well i had the scan and the good new is there is no IUD, not exactly sure where it is or if it fell out, kinda a mystery. But it was way too early and all they could see where 2 blobs, one possibly could be fluid but will have to wait 2wks to find out for sure.

Thats good that there is no IUD putting your baby at risk but scary as to where it has gone... The case of the disappearing IUD... Where is Sherlock Holmes
Oh and Congrats!
