We are about to buy our first stroller and have been reading reviews, both good and bad about both the Phil and Ted's Explorer and Mountain Buggy Urban Jungle.
We are now stuck between the two. Our only real preference is that the Urban Jungle takes a travel system without the fabric set which I think looks tidier, other than that....they're both winners.

Does anyone have any advice re. which is the better choice? Size wise, manouverability, offroad ability etc.
Trying them out in the shop doesn't really give a good idea of the everyday practicality.

We have the Explorer and wouldn't get it again, for various reasons. But in saying that I haven't really found a pram I like 100% yet. There always seems to be something that bothers me.

I noticed the other day on a friends MB (not sure which model) the rain cover goes over the entire pram - where as our one just clips at the front of the hood. You get much better protection on the MB.
The same goes for the sun shade.

Here we go again, another baby on it's way!

I have the explorer (see my previous post) and given the choice, MTB wins hands down. The explorer is a useless piece of junk :(

If you want a really really really good pram, and only want a single, get a Valco, they are the BEST!

We have an explorer and love it. The doubles kit is perfect for having a close age gap and the pram itself is really great and we have never had any problems with it. We don't do any off roading, just walking on the footpath and malls etc. and it's perfect for that.

Given the choice I would buy it again, I don't like the MB+1 and that was the only other option for us as I didn't want a side by side.

By chance I have both these prams - I got the P & T explorer as needed the doubles kit so it is good if planning on having more than one child close in age. However I love love love the MB urban elite and it is way better off road. the P & T seems quite tippy and unstable even when just pushing it on the grass to get to the playground where as the MB seems way more stronger and stable.

I personally prefer the MB but we do go off road so I guess it depend on your life style and future plans as to what will suit you!
