I just had a look at the school Andrew is probably going to and the yearly fee is $50 and $10 paper fee.

I can't remember what Kiya's fees are this year, but Ohakune was $8/term + $10 photocopying + $10 for a Taonga book (yearly record rather than reports)
On the other hand, DH gets paid to go to school

When you pay $400 per week for two kids in creche you really can't wait till they start school and pay the school fees...it will still be a hugh savings for us thats for sure.

So totally agree Linda. i was looking that the fees we will be paying for the boys to be in daycare and then looking at the school fees - school is so much cheaper.
Nothing against homeschooling but if you add in your time it will add up to a heap more than some school fees.

When Seb should start school I would still be at home with other littlies anyway, and I like the idea of it.
Besides it's 10 times the fun of working I don't like people (in general) very much - but I love learning.
