When you moved onto the Stage 2 formula, how did you introduce it? Did you make a mix and slowly introduce it until they were having whole feeds? Did you do it right on 6 months?

 Thanks...I'm a bit lost!!

with Caden we jutst started him straight on it, but in the morning, so if he was going to get a sore tummy or anything we'd have the day to deal with it.

some people go half and half, but I didnt bother..

I had a tin of each type on the go at the same time, started off with 3 old and 1 new (shes on 200-250ml per feed) then a few days later moved it up to 1/2 and 1/2, then a few more days later dropped it down to one old and 3 new until the old tin ran out.

I finished one tin and started on the new....why is there a reason to slowly introduce?

I think because it has alot more iron in it, if you are also feeding solids rich in iron it can make some babies a bit constipated... I think I switched Ty at about 7 months and gave him one bottle of the new formula the first day, two the next, three the next etc... by the fourth day we had changed completely

i was on anti-reflux formula and decided to switch cold turkey and see how much of a difference it was actually making now. lol. it was more a money thing for us though since his AR formula was about $25 a tin and the nuture stage 2 is $12. he seemed fine strait away although his AR wasnt a 'stage' formula. it could be given from birth to 24 months so i dont know if the taste thing would have applied? the taste thing never occured to me either though when i made the switch. i figure since he is on solids he would have no trouble adapting to different tastes?

we went 1/2 and 1/2 for a while, mainly because I had almost a whole tin of stage 1 left when he turned 6mths

The solids we are feeding aren't iron rich I don't think...just Farex at the moment, and fruit!! So I might just do a straight swap Yayyy, that makes it so much easier!!

I pretty much did a strait swap... as i ran out of stage 1, and i had no problems at all. Then i went from Karicare to Nurture, and again no problems.
