Topic: random bleeding TMI Posted: 23 August 2009 at 4:22pm |
Ok, so I'm fairly new here (well I haven't posted many times). I ovulated earlier in the week (tues/wed) with a bit of pain and small amount of light blood. This morning I had a bit more bleeding with a few clots. Any idea what this is? Considering that my AF is like Niagara falls from day 1. Should I be concerned? Thanks in advance.

I know there is such a thing as ovulation spotting, where you spot when you ovulate - I've never experienced it...
However I have had implantation spotting twice, which was around a week after possible conception... it was more than spotting.... but not much more than.
Could be your month?
Good luck.

Hi LMSunshine
I dont think it can be implantion spotting for the simple fact that you said you are bleeding with blood clots
Im not sure what it is. You may have to talk to a nurse about it
Or you could ring the health line if you are really worried 0800 611 116

I agree with Oxy it is unlikely to be implantation or Ovulation bleeding if it has clots....

what confirmed ov? i know that a few times i didnt ov when i was supposed to and a week or so later i got this because the follicle grew way past ov size and turned into a cyst and burst. it was quite clottish, red blood and almost a wee bit stringy occasionally, only lasted a couple of days

You could be low on progesterone, this causes random spotting after O...

Earlier in the week I'd had ovulation, with the normal amount of pain (I get it every month and it's always the same), and a small amount of bleeding (this happens occasionally). Maybe the second lot was a cyst, who knows?

It could of been a burst cyst , as it can cause bleeding and could be in relation to your ovulation pain. I've recently had a cyst on my ovary burst and had light bleeding, which a scan confirmed, and before the bleeding I had on/off ovulation pain. Though it could be implantation bleeding too, fingers crossed!
Seriously, it would be so much easier being a bloke, our bodies are too confusing lol.

I second that So confusing because it happened a good 5-6 days after I'd already had pain and suffering with ovulation (ok, so it's not as bad as I'm making out).
Doubt very much that it's got anything to do with implantation cos I really just feel like AF is coming. I really don't know. I'm fairly new to all this and a bit sick of getting my hopes up.
Thanks for your help
