Well, Jake is doing really well. After 6 weeks, we have a solid routine that he follows. Only thing is, his daddy has just returned. Now, I've told him about his routine and Lewis follows that, but he does other stuff that is....well...not how I would do things. Like, talking to jake if he wakes in the middle of the night - so it actually wakes him up more. Giving him chips and stuff. I don't know! maybe it's just me being used to having a full say in what is happening, and now I have to share with Lewis and give him his opinion. It's actually really hard! I thought that i would appreciate having him home and having him to lean on, and now I'm finding it hard to relinguish my hold on what happens to Jake! Lewis leaves in Feb and returns in April - It's going to be sooooo much worse then!!

Ooooh Lizzle you tell that man of yours what to do! Willie is much the same - I have a tight hold on Maya all day, then he comes home from work and he's all "Com ehere my baby, Mama's so mean, have some icecream/chips/chocolate, sleep in our bed blah blah blah.
I have a very large foot and I put it right down. Maya does think I'm the mean one, but at least she'll keep her teeth, won't be overweight and won't be still sleeping in our bed at 25

Grandfathers are the worst!!! I went to Dad's and he put Jake into bed. Jake stood up and cried, so Dad stood there saying "go to sleep jake" for five minutes. Of course, then Jake screamed louder and louder and ended up getting up. Lewis' dad is just as bad....giving him DIET COKE, putting him to bed and an hour later jake is frantically jumping on the bed. Grrrrrr MEN!!!!

Yep, Maya's "Ninny" is much the same - spoils her rotten. Its such a man thing - and then us Mum's get the blame because our kids are spoiled brats!

My 5 year old nephew was told by mum, "no playstation" for xmas until he is ten. So he rang grandad. Grandad said yes, and when mum put her foot down, Grandad bought him an x-box instead. "it's not a playstation" he says!!!

they also bought him a portable DVD player, and a motorbike!!!

I was telling my Dad about it this arvo, and I said "at least you don't give Maya diet coke" and Mum piped up and said "No, but he gives it to everyone else's toddlers when they are here instead". Seems there's things I don't know...
