Eer, umm, sorry to ask this but...

This morning Elle had a gross nappy...very soft, almost slighly green in parts, smelt like vomit.

Now, she has white/clear mucous stuff coming out!!!!

She seems happy and is definately teething. Is this teething related?? Is the white mucous normal?

Just wanted to add that she now has a nappy rash too :( We have NEVER had a nappy rash before :( I don't have any cream for it...at what stage should I go and get some cream...do I wait a day or so to see if it goes away on its own?

Where's the mucous coming from?

When my girls are teething they always get slushy poos and bad, bad, rash with it. Bepanthen is probably one of the best things you can get by yourself, Pimafucort is prescribed by Dr and is probably better. I'd make a quick appointment to the Dr on Friday afternoon so that if it's not starting to clear by then, you can get something prescribed (cheaper and better, yay!).

Yeah I worked that out moments after posting LOL! How silly!

I called healthline and they said it could be a bacterial thing (maybe from the cat bowl!!! I feel so bad about that! They are usually in the garage but DH left one upstairs for the cats overnight) but is only a worry if it continues for more than 24 hours.

Whenever my girls have had gastro the first thing the doctor has asked has been if there is mucous in their stools, they seem really concerned about that but I'm not sure why/what it means as we've never had mucousy stools.
Maybe check with your doctor tomorrow? And don't feel bad about the cat bowl, Kellz let Isla eat sand

I reckon the IBS thing may be significant as Docs etc have raised that from time to time and suspected that abdominal discomfort may be one of the causes of her grizzliness.

She seems perfectly well and happy so I think that teething acid has probably irritated the gut and caused the mucous. There are certainly no other signs of a gastro bug.

Phew!

charli is over teething for the moment thank god!!! she got the soft, disgusting smelly poo, red red red rashy butt and also mucuous in her poo.....i tried various creams, both prescribed and non, the best i found was anti-rash powder, barrier cream and lots of nappy free time.

i hope elle is over it soon!
