Hi there, I am new to all of this so Hello everyone :).

Just wondering what sort of routines everyone has or has had, as I would like to know if im on the right track. I no there are no set rules but it would be nice to know where other are at.

This is how our day goes:
up at 7.30 - 8.00am Feed & play
down 9.30 -10
up at 11.30 - 12.00 Feed & Play
down 1.30 - 2
up 3.30 - 4.00 Feed, Play, Bath
down 5.30 - 6.00
Up 7.30 - 8

When DS is up the last time I have to wake him, which isnt a problem, hes up for about an hour - 1 1/2 hours which by this stage is 9ish before going back to bed, I feel like this is a bit late, does anyone have a similar routine or after the last feed is it pretty much up, feed, change and back to bed?

Would love to hear what everyone is doing.

Hi Kosher, welcome
Jody's routine is totally run by her but it is very simular to Ashton's.

She usually stays up for about 1 hour though and at the end of the day she wants to go to bed at about 7pm, I usually try to drag it out until closer to 8pm then she will be hungry enough to feed again before bed. We only bath her every 2 - 3 days which we do around 6:30 or 7pm depending on her mood.

Come and join the October thread if you like, we are very chatty but a new mummy is always very welcome

ETA if Jody does happen to be sleeping at around 7:30 - 8pm then I will wake her in her darkend room, change her nappy, feed her lying down on the bed in there and try to keep her feeding until she is all sleepy then put her back to bed, so about 30mins.

Welcome Kosher
I let Ariahn set her routine too but it is similar to Ashtons also. She generally has a big sleep in the morning and two shorter sleeps in the afternoon. Any feeds after 7pm are done in the same room as her bassinet (our room at the moment) which is darkened, then she is changed and put straight back to bed - approx 30 mins total.

Hi Kosher - welcome.

We have always tried to have a bit of a routine.

But he really determines what that is now.

Up around 7/7.30

Sleeps at 9/9.30, 12/12.30, 3.30/4 ish. His naps vary, I try and keep the first one short as I have found he will take 1 long nap a day and its easier if thats at lunchtime, other days though nothing i do makes him sleep more than 45 mins

We only have 3 naps a day, if he is taking short naps it means bed is early if he manages a longer nap he goes to bed around 7.

He is awake for 2 hours, so goes to bed anywhere between 6/7.

So all pretty similar really.

Thanks ladies for your replies, I feel like im on the right track now :) Ashton has also put himself into this routine which im happy with. The last few days though he has only slept roughly an hour in the morning and the has slept 3 hours 1-4, I hoping this is because has a cold but maybe he is changing again. Tonight he was fed at 8 and back in bed at 8.30. I had to go out so im not sure if he went straight to sleep or not. I would love to aim for a 7 - 7.30 bedtime but maybe this will come once the solids start which Im thinking he may be getting ready for, finger crossed I can hold him off a bit longer.
