We tried for almost a year with no luck! I had to have a scan to check my gall bladder and mentioned to my specialist we had been TTC with no luck, so when I had the scan they did an internal as well and checked me out, all was okay this put my mind at ease but still no BFP, so we decided to get on with organising our wedding and 3 weeks before our wedding and a week before my hens night we got a BFP!!!

After everyone telling me to stop thinking/stressing about it and me thinking what a load of BS, I did because I had to, to focus on the wedding (we organised the whole thing in 12 weeks and did it all ourselves) plus I was on mission slim down for the wedding. So I now definitely believe that focussing on something else definitely made all the difference for us, plus being extremely healthy and fit (for a short amount of time LOL!)

I think relaxing and not thinking about it has alot to do with getting pregs. We're TTC #2 end of the year but all that means is DP stops withdrawing (sorry if tmi ) since we get it on all the time anyway. Its just fun and I figure what'll happen will happen so I may as well get as much booty out of it as possible
Maybe just focus on you and DP - do stuff thats just about you two go on dates etc coz that won't happen as easily once you get a BFP (what does that stand for specifically btw?).

Actually, the first six months to a year i was not stressed about it at all as we were just happy with whatever happened. So i actually dont think stress has anything to do with it.

Everyone says to say relax and dont think about it, but when we have been trying for so long for our 1st baby it is hard to go through every month being disappointed.

I know that it is hard to hear people say to relax and not worry and not think about ttc, especially when ttc is an all consuming thing!!!!

The month we got pregnant was holidays, so new years and i was so relaxed on holiday and didnt really think about ttc. infact i drank more that week than any other time in years! We had only been trying again for 4 months so not so long in the scheme of things.

my friends mum told us that if you have 1/2 an asprin 1st thing in the morning everyday it aids conception ( shes a midwife but said she wasnt sure if it worked or not) anyway her daughter was TTc for 3yrs then tried it and weather or not it had anything to do with it it worked so now all the friends have tried it and all got PG so its worth a shot i say.

Babe, BFP= Big Fat Positive

Yeap, that darn relaxing/not thinking about it seems to work.

We BD'd every second day after AF and 3 days in a row at OV time the month we made little Jody. I also hugged my knees for 20mins lol.

The only reason we did it 3 days in a row was it was our wedding anniversary on a 'no BD' day lol, we actually did it for fun *gasp*. I like to think that was the one that did it lol

I've never done any charting, mostly cuz I think it would stress me out and make it harder. I fell pg the first time after ttc for 3mths but m/ced at nearly 3mths (Oct 07). Was an extremely stressful time after that, for more reasons that just my m/c. We kept trying anyway and it wasn't until we went away in Jan and forgot about everything that had been going on and just had fun that we ended up conceiving. (3mths after my m/c). I hindsight I was due to ovulate while we were away, just hadn't thought anything of it at the time. Couldn't believe it - ttc was all I could think about prior to Jan, then suddenly end of Jan arrived and AF was overdue and I felt a lil funny... did a test and wallah, BFP!

Nat I totally hear you on finding it hard, big hugs!! I found it hard enough and it really didn't take long at all for us. Hoping to start ttc#2 in a month or so but a little apprehensive cuz I remember how strung out I was each month because it was so all-consuming. I so hope that next month is your month!!!! You're doing all the right things, just keep doing them. More hugs

kmarie, thanks! i have had my BFP just this saturday been, can't believe it and am so stunned that it has finally happened! Am hoping that it is a sticky one but even if not, at least we know we are not infertile!

Funnily enough, this month I told DF he was in charge of when we bd so that I was not thinking about it too much. Then the day of ovulation we HAD to bd for a postcoital test and both felt VERY stressed out about it as it took a loooong time for the business to be completed, so neither of us enjoyed it...but ya know what, that must have done the trick! How weird is that!
