Sept-Oct clothes for newborn

Cooper was born in September, and I mainly dressed him in AIO's with a AIO singlet underneath. He spent most days wrapped even when he was awake. I stayed away from the pants and tops until he was a little older. There were days where I put a sweatshirt/cardi over the AIO.

Keziah was born in late October and she was in the same as Cooper and Thomas - AIO's with feet and a dome singlet underneath..

Let me think... Ella was an Oct bub, and I dressed her in, Ah I dressed her in tons of different things! She was a very spilly baby and went through a lot of clothes each day. The handiest things were: gowns for night time (makes nappy changes so much simpler), singlets that dome under the nappy were essential, many tiny socks (PP ones stay on better than any others), and layers that are easy to add to or remove. Ella had all-in-ones but mostly wore those for jammie-jims, as I found pants and a top easier to dress her in, and if she messed just one, I didn't have to strip her entirely to clean her up. You can find comfy little newborn outfits out there - just look for ones without things like big buttons on the back, or zippers on them. But I'd say the essentials were those domes singlets and nightgowns. Baby generally needs to wear one more layer than you, though if you're planning of lots of stroller rides, etc, some extra warm clothes wouldn't go amiss. Aim for cottons and wools (Merino is much nicer on skin than the usual wool), there's lots of cute polar fleece things, but that really messes with their temps.
