Does anyone know what the usual range for this is? Mine was 43 at my first trimester bloods (best ever for any of my pregnancies) and 9.1 today (worst ever) That seems very, very low!?

If it's the one I'm thinking of (there's 2 and I'm not sure it's the same one)... Mine was at 7, which is why I've been feeling so very crap... apparently you want it 20 or above.

20 or more is good. I can never get to that magic number. |

Yup, 17 at the absolute minimum - but 20 or more is ideal.
 Mine was 5 |

Thanks Becks - I tried googling it but it looks like it might be different standards all over the place. But one of the NZ sites also said 20-200 so that must be it.
Andie - ugh 7!! I have never been below 15 before (that I know of). At Christmas I started feeling dizzy, faint, and looking like a ghost so I self-prescribed iron tablets every second day. Two weeks later I still get a reading of 9.1..... tonight the mw called me to tell me to take my tablets every day - the first time I have ever been called about my iron!

Mine were either 3 or 6 - and my m/w forgot for 3 weeks to tell me to take the iron tablets (Needless to say I'm not using her this time around lol)

Yep, it's 20-200. I"m at 126 which I thought was odd as i'm vego. No supplements either!!
Actually, I think my MW said 20-300 but I could have that wrong.

Danaj are you sure that is your ferritin level? There is iron itself and then there is iron stores (ferritin)... my iron is at 120+ as well.

Yeah mine were 9 also and have since started taking tabs more reg but only the Iron & vitamin c ones, the others go straight thru , but remember not to take them at the same time as calcium (I guess also not with milk) as the calcium can block the absorbtion of the iron.  I also talked with my mw about my levels & she said it is to be expected at this end of the preg but still need to try to get them up a bit
