Hi All,

I am currently 6 weeks pregnant with my first child - and on the mission of trying to find out everything I need to know!!
Now - I see that a small amount of basic fish is ok... but what about prawns? Is it ok to eat them - as I loooooooove them..... can anyone help??

yeah prawns are fine as long as they're cooked properly :)

Hey Jess,

Cooked, hot prawns are fine if eaten straight away, as they are crusteaceans, not shellfish.

I have also been eating squid/calamari as long as it's freshly cooked and hot, as well as white fish.
