That does suck and leave you in the middle. Maybe in a few weeks your nan will warm to the idea of you moving in. It may just take her a while to realiese. Hang in there it will work out.

yeah , perhaps your nan is being proud , you know ,as older people can be , and she doesnt want to be seen as a burden or "asking for help"
maybe if you approached it so it sounds like by letting you and Lucas move in she would be doing YOU the favour, she would warm to it more

Sorry to hear about your grandpa too, my grandma had dementia very severly for about 7years till she died, its a very cruel disease
