Bailey asked me to look up ben 10 on the nickelodeon website so i did but i mispelt it and put in nicalodeon and up flashed a very graphic porn site!!!
This made me real angry because i spelt it the way its said just like a child would so when a young teen goes on there with the wrong spelling they will get a hell of a shock!!!!

I would think that there will be some rule against those kinds of websites choosing a name so close to a childrens site!!!!

The porn sites do it frequently I'm afraid. I've heard there's one where if you transpose some letters in disneyworld or something one comes up too. That's why it's good you were supervising his computer time.

Put a child block on your internet (it blocks dodgy content from appearing)

You can report it but I just can't remember who. They are net-nanny agencies and they will put it in their block list which, if you subscribe to blocking at a child's level, means that sort of thing will never come up.

i reckon there should be something like google for kids. where they can type anything in and only get websites without porn or porn links and free from those ads on the side or links they can click on to claim a prize coz they r the 100000 visitor to that site. I find my little sister is allways clicking on them and its hard supervising them since it only takes a second for them to click. i usually sit right next to her while she plays games and even then if i stop watching just to rub my eye or what ever she clicks on something that she thinks is innocent.

OK bit of a rant follows:

I think if nothing else there should be a 'net safe' type guideline for schools.

It amazes me that schools often send kids home with research for the internet but never start by laying down safe guidelines for net use. I mean I know these guidelines exist and parents can go get them off the web but really the schools should all be promoting them. Lots of parents don't know safe usage either and so it's downright irresponsible for schools to behave in this way IMHO.

Case in point - my nephew had to research the reasonable force amendment - so he put in child and smacking and his parents didn't have net nanny or similar on the computer. Can you imagine what came up?

Ok rant over
