I think I'll do some more looking around... If I can't find anything else, I'll just have to hide them under the desk LOL

I think it's the open toe that puts me off - personal preference though. I'd be obsessed with keeping my toes in nailpolish all the time and who has the time.

LOL Scott I think you missed the "I broke my foot" bit

Anyway, they are safely back at the shoe shop and I have no sandals - as of this afternoon. I'll try with just shoes for a while and otherwise I'll go hunting on lunch break - with no children in tow.

Shoes are not my taste, and from someone with a terrible ankel problem I would say get a strap that goes over the top of your foot, not a sling back. I have some sling back shoes that are fine for a short time (very low heal as well), but by the end of the day at work my foot is killing me and at times hurts to walk to the car. (to be fair, but foot is stuffed though)

SB it's not my ankle that I broke but the middle of my foot - so the insole is more important to me than whether there is a strap. An enclosed ankle really isn't a sandal

Hi Teresa,
This is the type of shoe I meant. What is great is at the moment a lot of places are doing a wedge sole so the bottom is really stable too.

oic... yea that heel is a bit higher but I can see how a wedge or even just slightly more stable heel could work on that.
