I dragged DH around yesterday looking at beds for Liam. We've decided to get him in a bed before #2 arrives so we don't have much time left

Anyway, I just presumed we'd buy him a single bed so we have already bought an underlay, duvet cover & inner & 2 sets of sheets all in single size. But that's another story!

Now DH thinks that a king single might be better in the long run.

What do your toddlers sleep in? Are king singles too big for toddlers? Does it really matter?

the one we bought was a king single.. just because we liked that bed better and it was a great price too(399$:) )

I hadn't really given it much thought but now i think bigger bed harder to fall out:) but we haven't bought any linen yet so maybe it's harder to find linen for ...not sure yet?

We bought Ashleigh a single bed. She isn't a big kid and I can't imagine she will be a big teen/adult either. I think I would seriously consider a king single if I had a boy who I suspected would be big/tall but otherwise I'm happy with a single. My sister bought king singles for her boy/girl twins when they turned 2 and I don't think the beds were tooo big for them

Is that including a mattress KA?

I'm not sure about the linen but I think I've seen plenty of it in the shops so I can't see it'd be a problem.

They'll be there for a good number of years so the king single might be better in the long run

We got a single. Me and my bro only had one bed all our lives which was a plain old single so don't see why Daniel can't have the same. And it takes up less space in his room

When we buy Harry a bed we're gonna get a king single - he's bound to be very tall like his daddy (who is 6 4). We're gonna get one of those ones that has the bed underneath... so it can double as 2 single/a double bed for guests.

(at the mo Harry is just on a small single bed that we already had)

sally no but my Dad gets half price ones.. it doesn't look that much bigger to me ?

liz- some of the ones we saw were so cool with beds underneath them but so expensive so we will probably save up and go that option in a few years..

We got Jake a king single trundler ... it was pretty expensive but on sale so the same price as the single, and I figure he'll be in it for a long time. And the trundler will be great for sleep overs.

Paris had our old double bed that she moved into when she was 11mths old, and that was great - hardly ever had to worry about her falling out at all.

Only prob we have now is that alot of kids duvets aren't really available in double size... the options are fairly limited.

Ayja on the other hand - we got her a single bed and she falls out alot, she's an active sleeper anyway but i kinda wish we'd gotten her a king single - again for us though it came down to $$

We originally got MA a single bed... after a year we sold it and got her a King Single. We've just started thinking about getting a bed for DB and we'll be getting a King Single..

The Living Edge in Balmoral have King Singles for a reasonable price... they are always having a sale so I'd check there too, I think we paid $350-$400 for MA's bed.

We got Lachie a king single that has the other pull out bed underneath that can make it into a double, and we love it, the couple of times he has fallen out we has just landed on the bottom mattress that we just have pulled out a bit. When he was sick last week DH just slept beside him and they both slept well.
