Well, I know I shouldn't complain, and that I should make the most of my time before this little one comes, but I am so bored. I only finished work last week and I can't stand it. I'm not really a stay at home and relax kind of person, but I know it's what I need to be doing more of.
If anyone has any ideas of how i can save my sanity in the next few weeks, please feel free to give me some advice.
All I can say is bring on this baby, won't be bored then!!!

Hey there thunderwolves,
I have just started maternity leave myself and have found going out for walks is nice - that is if you are still mobile enough. I was a little worried that I would need to dash to the toilet every 10 minutes but haven't had that problem yet. Do you have some other friends who are at home with children? Or perhaps some siblings and your parents that you could go and visit?

Yeah getting out and going for walks is all good...I've been feeling heaps better since I did. Even just a short jaunt around the block is all good.

Scrapbooking is another one...organising 2 years of photos in our case!

Hanging out with friends. Coffee dates are great!

Tyra and Dr Phil aren't too bad.

Nor is napping!!

As fun as it sounds, cleaning the house and making some dinners to freeze. These are two things that you just really don't have time to do in the first week. I was lucky and i had DH here to cook dinner for the first two weeks but if he wasn't here i would have been at a complete loss.

I second the organising frozen meals thing ! We lived on those for about the first three / four weeks or so... not because we didn't have the time to cook, but mostly because we couldn't be ars*d !

I soooo intended to do all the washing that has piled up today and tidy up a bit, but now that I get to it I'm too fat, tired and lazy.

I'm spending most of my time either here, watching Dr Phil or sleeping when Maya is at preschool, trying to keep quiet so that I don't give the gremlins any encouragement to break out just yet.

I think I just froze meals (which was great cause I ended up with an emergency c/s), walked walked walked, and napped, and tidied the house...again. Somehow I managed to fill in 5 weeks of time doing that. How much time left til you are due?

I've been painting little pics for the baby's room.  I'm well past the point of being able to paint our nasty kitchen cupboards, so instead I'm taking it out on little wee canvases that I can work with without climbing a ladder.  Love the frozen meals idea too - but after making about 6 night's worth, I just couldn't be bothered anymore!!!  Better get a wiggle on and do a few more over the next week, methinks.
