I started Jack on solids just after he turned 4 months so hes been on them for nearly a month. My question is is there a limit to how much he should eat or should I let him eat as much as he wants? Because he eats a lot I think he would eat until there was no more food. Today I gave him 3 big ice cubes of food for lunch and a whole can of baby food for tea and he possibly could of eaten more. He has 5-6 breastfeeds a day as well. He weighs around 9kg by the way.

So should I give him a set amount or keep increasing until he wants no more?

james is a big eater as well and he didnt start on soilds till he was 6 months (he refused till then) and when he did start he was on a tin for lunch and 6 bittles a day now at at almost one year he has 3 meals and 3-4 bottles a day i reonk that bubs will not groge themseleves or starve them self and if bubs is happy content then he may be having anuff if hes unsettle as was james before we put him up to 3 meals a day he may still be hungry

I've started taine on solids, and am considering giving him two lots. He went to daycare today and they said he had a bottle at 9, another one at 11 another one at 1, and another at 3. At 200mls each, WOAH! I'll have a huge milk-filled fatty boy. Hopefully a growth spurt (up not out)
I think as long as the milk comes first and the solids help fill him up rather than the other way around at this stage, it's okay/

I let Joey dictate how much he eats and always have. He just stops when he has had enough (or starts mucking around)
