I was shopping with my mum at lunchtime, looking at Christmas gifts and a couple were standing looking at the same shelf as us. There was a space between the lady and the shelf and since mum wanted to look further down the aisle she walked past the lady and got tripped up by her foot. My mum then turned and apologised to the lady (not sure why since the rude cow was the one that tripped my mum up but my mum is a placid and compliant person). The husband then started muttering and grumbling about her under his breath (loud enough for us to hear though) before wandering off. That was enough for me (I am neither placid nor compliant not when people are being rude to my mum) I turned around to mum and said something along the lines "don't worry mum I guess some people are just a bit high strung at this time of year". Surprisingly
his wife took exception to that comment and told us that it was rude of my mum to walk in front of her before chasing after her husband I did manage to respond (hopefully while she was still in earshot) that neither of us had mastered the ability to walk through walls yet (which would have been the only other way past them).
Stupid rude people!
On the bright side we only had to put up with them for a couple of minutes whereas they're stuck with themselves and each other all the time - no wonder they're grumpy!
