Topic: Still nauseous at 15 weeks... Posted: 28 February 2011 at 9:45pm |
Arrrggh...I was 15 weeks on Sunday and I'm still feeling really sick (although not throwing up) every day, off and on. I'm so over it and it's very hard going to work each day feeling like this. I've tried everything to try to alleviate my symptoms, including anti-nausea pills prescribed by my midwife, but they just made me feel worse.
I'm worried that I might be one of those people who has nausea throughout the whole pregnancy because most people's nausea has disappeared by week 15...
Is anyone else still feeling sick all the time at week 15 or more?
When did your nausea disappear?
Thanks everyone

I'm 15 weeks and feeling better most days. But last pregnancy I still felt yuck up until 16 weeks.
Big hugs, it's so hard when you don't know when it will end.
Also, feel free to come and join the 'due Aug 11' thread, it's great for comparing symptoms and asking strange questions

I had nausea right up to 18 weeks with DS and then again in the 3rd trimester, it was awful! But I also think it was also contributed by Reflux as well. Do you think it could it be reflux as well? Also, if you havent tried it yet, I find Ginger tablets work well to help ease the edge of the nausea.
I hope you feel better soon MS is the pits thats for sure!

Mine eased off around 15-16 weeks with DD, so fingers crossed you'll feel better soon. If not, it's all worth it in the end, I promise

I still feel sick on and off even now at 23weeks. Sorry I think some people just feel sick the full time. I certainly did with my son. It honestly gets better the minute bubs is born though. I remember that being one of my first thoughts within the first hour of my son being born-wow I don't feel sick anymore.

I'm feeling for you. MS sucks big time. First pregnancy I was sick for 26 weeks, I mean SICK! This time I was sick for 22 weeks. Now I'm 34 weeks and it's starting to come back. Hopefully it doesn't last too long for you ...

One of the girls on here was sick with her first till like 38 weeks or something.
I was sick with my first for 16 weeks, then again from 26 to 37
With my second I was nauseous till 17 weeks
And this time I was throwing up every day till 17 weeks
...unfortunately its quite common, a lot of people swear by acupressure for nausea, or drinking ginger, eating little and often and some use sea sickness bands

.....
You don't want to hear from me...
I was sick every day, the whole time....last time was the day DD was born!
It is horrible. But SO SO SO worth it. I promise it won't last forever. (maybe the whole pregnancy, but once babies out, you'll be good as gold!)
Try not to focus on all the so-called "it gets better from here" dates....it is such a let down if it doesn't improve! Focus on the end result instead.

Thanks ladies - I know it will be worth it in the end but it's just so hard waking up every day feeling crappy! I usually feel a better in the evenings, but work is a tough slog each day. Hopefully it goes away soon! At least I know I'm not the only one out there still feeling sick at this stage.

MS lasted till 12 weeks exactly with DD1, with this one it stayed around till 16 weeks. I still get nausea in the evenings now if I have had a busy day and I am tired. I find being tired makes MS so so much worse to deal with.
Hopefully it will give you a break soon.
ETA: I have also been eating a 95% vegetarian diet this pregnancy, the thought of meat just makes me want to hurl! I do try to hide a little bit in some meals just so I am eating atleast some meat!

I'm another you don't want to hear from, with my first I was sick the whole way through, 24/7 nausea, and vomiting.
This pregnancy, I'm not throwing up as much now but am still getting 24/7 nausea, would be quite happy for it to end at 15 weeks but I don't see that happening.
