Topic: stupid crappy day Posted: 04 June 2008 at 8:37pm |
have JUST got home after an afternoon from hell. Left mums after picking up kids and decided to (for once) get fish n chips for tea. Went to Annie's - for you Palmy people. we waited for 30 minutes - it was pretty busy. Anywaym, Taine cried and was getting ratty, and then the woman checked a package in the warmer - one that had been there for 25 minutes and said my number. I blew up at her
"YOU MEAN TO SAY, YOU HAVE SAT THERE AND WATCHED ME DEAL WITH TWO GRUMPY HUNGRY CHILDREN, WHILE MY ORDER SAT IN THE WARMER"
"I thought it was a phone order to be picked up"
"I DON"T GIVE A CRAP. THIS IS TERRIBLE SERVICE"
and she walked away!!!!!
Meanwhile in the busy crowded takeaways - and old lady applauded and yelled
"you go girl"
which creeped me out slightly
So off we go...to discover I had locked the keys in the car. and cause of our car getting knicked and having talks with insurance about getting a new key system - we only have one key - the one sitting in my car.
So we walk to my nanas (on beresford, next to the school). the boys are being great. we get there and the kids have dinner. I ring mum to get her partner to try and break in. after 40 minutes, he can't. taine has pooed and I ran out of nappies.
nana rings the AA and after 30 minutes, they come and let me in. Grrrr...well, thanks for them, but Grrr at the situation. So at 8 - an hour past bedtime - two grumpy sleepy boys in bed, and one grumpy sleepy mum on the computer.

Geez that's really bad from Annies, they are usually AWESOME. Was it just a serving girl or one of the owners? If it was just the serving chick I'd ring and complain about her, you might get free meals

Liz, what an awful evening! I hope you have a fab day today to make up for it (maybe buy a lotto ticket, you never know... next time your keys are locked in the car you could just go out and buy a new car).
