Annie, I'd get on a flight pretty soon then . I've been having pains all day coming every 15-20 minutes and slowly getting closer together and more painful as the day goes on.

that is great becks, I am sure you prefer to go naturally than be induced!

(in saying that, once you Feb mums have your bubs, us March girls are next and I am not quite ready for that!)

Sending you however lots of labour vibes

Hope it all works out - glad your BP has not gotten any worse. Try some licorice, raspberry leaf tea and some unripe papaya

I'm still around. i slept on the couch last night as once I got comfortable there was no way I was moving. I'm in 2 minds at the moment. The pains are still there getting stronger but no real pattern to them. So i'm not sure if I should ring my MW to get checked out (she told me she hasn't had a birth for 2 weeks and is itching for one), or let them pass and see if I can get a pattern happening. I've tried having a warm bath and a heat pack to help both of which didn't help. I want to do things at home (the dishes from my cooking yesterday) and fold the washing but I have no energy to do either. I've been laying on the couch all morning (apart from the bath and dropping Andrew off at daycare) reading my Treasures Mag (finally it came) and looking at the stuff going get up and do it, then wham hello pains in the back and lower tummy.

it can't hurt to be checked out, and given nothing is helping the pain, sounds to me like something is happening (that said I have really little idea what I am talking about )

Becks that's what I had with Krysti for the last couple of weeks . I just asked about it at my regular mw check and basically was told to not bother about them until there was a regular pattern of less than 10 minutes apart.

Is baby posterior? Every subsequent pg'cy is more prone to niggles, but a posterior baby can set off contractions without establishing labour as they turn (that's what I had for 30hrs with Briona until she was finally anterior and my waters were broken). So if posterior, get on hands and knees

Does bathing speed up or slow down things?

He's not posterier, we have been able to feel his back against my tummy. I spoke with my MW and she thinks he is either getting his head right down (braxtons) or it is the start. I have to keep an eye on them and see if I can get a pattern going.

I've been getting the niggles too, had heaps yesterday, and felt like if I moved too far, it all would "drop out" lol! The sleeping thing sucks, aye. So, i guess i'll race ya, then.. (got a big walk planned for this arvo as I have some parents centre stuff to deliver..)

You will probably win Annie unless i'm induced. I'm cooking at the moment so i'm hoping that doing that will distract me from the pains.

Cooking as in not surviving the heat? I'm such a poor loser, by the way...

Yeah cooking, its not all that hot here today as it is quite windy. I'm making soup as we had chicken last night for dinner so I boiled the carcess last night and then just before went and got some veges to put in it. So far all I have managed to do is put the soup mix in the pot with some bits of chicken. I can't be bothered standing and cutting up the veges (my back is killing me). I also made up a chicken casserole that is cooling at the moment and then will be going in the freezer. I want to make white chocolate chip muffins but can't find any white chocolate bits so that will be my mission tomorrow even with Andrew with me. And I want to make a lasagne to freeze as well. So far all I have done is defrost the mince.

Well I had a trip up to the hospital last night. I hadn't felt him move all day and did the really cold water thing and still nothing. Was hooked up to the moniter and he was happy (good HB) but not moving around. I had all the usual checks done and even thou I had been on the bed for almost an hour (doing nothing but drinking water) my BP was quite high (145/92). So I have been booked in to see the specialist tomorrow at the day unit up at the hospital. My MW is a bit worried about the high BP and the traces of protein in the pee. If my favourite specialist is on (the one I had with Andrew and gyn stuff) then there may be a chance I will get induced (the power of tears ).
