My 21 month old has just suddenly got a dislike for his nana, he has 3 days a week with his nana and popa, he thinks his popa is the best thing ever. But for about 2 weeks now he has this real dislike for his nana, he refuses to kiss her good night, will scream when she tries to pick him up or help him problem solve? I've seen him try to bite her in fustration a couple of times too, Its really strange... Is this a stage?

He had the flu last week so just thought it was cause he was sick but its still happening this week...

I know its hurting Nana's feelings now and don't know what to do to help, any ideas??

Has nana done anything that she mightn't have realised would scare or upset him?
A couple of weeks ago both my babies came down with the rotavirus and Isobelle ended up in hospital. I was there with her for two days and mil came to watch Dom while DH and I changed places (so I could be with Dom and shower etc), she only looked after him for 30 mins but because he was sick and traumatised by me not being there he now doesn't want anything to do with his nana. It didn't help that it was 5pm at night and she didn't turn any lights on or turn on the heater or do anything to make him feel like it was ok, I came home to find that it was dark and cold and he had cried himself to sleep on the couch.
He does the same thing fusses over his Poppa but won't kiss or cuddle nana at all.

Thanks for your reply, its nice to now its not an isolated case:). I did think it may relate to something that has happened, but nana can't remember anything?

The good news is they had a good day yesterday no real problems but popa wasnt home yesterday either. On popas return nana was pushed aside again. So I think we may have found the problem, if given a choice he would rather have popa than nana... So we will just have to curb any disrespectful behaviour towards nana, and ensure popa is not encouraging it :-)

Why is the men in there lives are always the favourites he he he
