I'd skip the mall out at Homebush IMO - you honestly will only need to go to Chatswood.
Yay for getting into the Crowne Plaza too, let me know what you think of their breakfasts??

This thread has been awesome for us - we are going in May and I am so looking forward to it. Our challenge is going to be travelling with a 17mth old, so we are trying to figure out whether we hire a car and a carseat or whether we use public transport, (ie trains). We will be visiting 2 sets of friends (who live in Meadowbank and Breakfast Point - but given that I dont know Sydney at all - I have NO idea where these are in relation to the City!)
I guess I need to figure out whether we take our MB or just a stroller. I know that I can hire stuff over there, but do they deliver it or do I need to go and pick it up - does anyone know?

snap SimSam- we are looking at going over next April with Ella and have been trying to work out the logisics of it all. I have had a quick look on Kidsot.com.au for baby hire places and I think some of them do deliver.

SimSam- Meadowbank is definitely on the train line. If you are spending a lot of time in the city I would just use public transport, you r little boy will love trains, buses, ferries etc The zoo would be a great place for a toddler!
I wonder if there is a hire place at the airport - that would be perfect for you guys!
I had no idea where Breakfast Point is, so just googled and found this Breakfast Point seems like you could get a River Cat from the city

Also wanted to add: the public transport system is quite user-friendly re; strollers, so I would just take a stroller rather than MB. Easier and lighter to take with you and you can take your own

The public transport system there is FANTASTIC.
I would highly suggest buying a 7 day pass for $60 pp (including to and from the airport) this gets you on pretty much all public transport for the whole 7 days. That includes buses, ferries and trains. We saved HEAPS!

Sam I wouldnt' take the MB, you'd be fine with a stroller. Like Tammy said the trains are really user friendly.
Boo I'm so glad that you had a great time over there!
