Hoorah! I am going to Sydney for a friend's wedding next week.

We will have four whole days to ourselves there. I really want to see the zoo and the aquarium. Does anyone have any suggestions of other fun things to do with a 17 month old in tow? And of any good child-friendly places to eat?

Also, does anyone have any recommendations for the zoo itself, for example, animal feeding shows or displays that are must-sees.

I did want to see Bondi Beach as well, but think it may be a bit too hot for DD to be outside out of the shade.

Any thouhts?

The aquarium is awesome! We took our 5 month old who seemed to love it, so I'm sure a toddler will be far more interested!

Zoo has a great website with lots of info about feeding shows and displays etc so you can plan your time.

If you are getting a hire car, then go to Featherdale Wildlife Park.

You can't go to oz and not pat a kangaroo...

Go on the ferry to Manly - only takes about 30 minutes to get there and theres lots of nice places for lunch, beach etc - wicked place loved it!

Are you going to have a car or will you be public transport? If so there is a special card that you get at the airport and its an all day pass for 7 days (we got it even though we were only there for 3 days) and it took us everywhere we wanted to go, even includes the ferry ride to Manly, Luna Park etc, to Bondi - everywhere it was awesome.

The aquarium was awesome, quite expensive - but then again most touristy things are arent they!

Darling Harbour has nice gardens and a playground there.

I just love love love love love Sydney!

Go out to the blue mountains if you can spare a day.
