We go to 2.
The one on Fridays, in Mt Roskill is fantastic, although the leader is leaving soon so it may change. It is super relaxed and the kids seems to love it. They choose really good songs and it just feels...well, relaxed and fun. There is a good mix of mums of various ages + some dads and grandparents. A good mix of nationalities too as you'd expect from Mt Roskill. It's a nice sunny warm room and the group is a good size.
The one we go to on Tues is one I help with. We are going to change the way it is run soon but ATM have to follow someone elses instructions. The room is too big and it feels a little mad. The song choices are not as good and many of the younger kids lose focus. Once we make the changes we want to make I think it'll be much better but unforunately it will continue to be in the huge room. It is in Mt Eden so not such a mix of people but still a nice enough bunch.

Our favourite MM class is crazy meyhem and we LOVE it! It is a huge group of all sorts, Mums, Dads, Nanas and Nannys! The lady that runs it is super fun, the kids gravitate towards her, she just gives off such a great vibe and she enourages the shy children. The people are very friendly, always stopping to chat to me as I don't have any friends that attend, one particular lady sits with me every time I go as she has a wee girl that is just one month older than Lauren.
I visited another MM nearby last week and it was very different, very structured (and damn boring), parents are not allowed to talk to each other and the lady that ran it was just so boring, spoke in a very monotone voice and was a bit of a control freak IMO. It was so so boring, Lauren was away with the fairies for most of it as it just was not stimulating enough for her!

We love ours. Zac has a man crush on the lady that runs it husband. He is so good with all the kids and doesn't mind Zac chatting to him non stop and wanting him to play with him. The lady that runs it is really good and gets all the kids involved and she always makes a yummy slice for morning tea.
On of the helpers heard me talking about Samara's allergies so got some rice crackers in for her so she doesn't feel left out when they have their snack. (I take food for her but she wants what everyone else is having).
All of the other Mums and kids that attend are really nice as well.

Funny I went looking to a new one as I was wanting a break from our one ( I was helping and it was getting too much.) And it was really unstructured we hated it my boy's got lost in the kaos they feed the kids bicuts at morning tea and they could jsut go help themselves to as many as they wanted I got funny look's for saying no more to the boy's who would have kept going all day if they could the kids just got to run around when I made mine sit down. And the music time was really hard to follow they all jsut bunched up on the floor and pretty much did there own thing.
Our one which i have gone back too is rather strustrued not overly controlling, but they do prefere the Mum's to show some respect and not talk too much during the singing time and engage with the kid's more. The lady that run's ours is so amazing and the kids totally adore her there is usually a fight as to who get's to stand with here etc. we all get in a big circle so you feel like you are all part of it and morning tea they feed the kids apple's and healthy food there are biscuts aswell they get there own plate. Mum's alway's get spolit especially on Mother's day etc.

The one we go to is very structered, we love it tho. Its getting really busy tho and when its playtime Isla often gets overwhelmed by all the noise and chaos! The music starts at exactly 9.45am and goes for 1/2 hr. They pass out shakers for a couple of the songs, and Isla loves the whole session. All the parents sit on the ground with the kids, and stand up for action songs,...everyone gets really into it which I like. Then the put out canvas tarps for the kids to sit on for morning tea, and go around and handout water in sippy cups to every kid then 2 biscuits- I take Islas own and give them to one of the helpers who hands them to Isla when shes giving the rest out ,and it works well for us! They then pack that up and bring out the toys, while adults have morning tea with homemade baking!

The one that I take the five month old to at Eastgate Church in Pakuranga is fantastic, music starts at 10am for half an hour , the ladies get the children really involved and it is wonderful, then morning tea is out and toys after morning tea. and we have theme days as well,
Nice morning teas on special occasions like childrebs birthdays

I've tried two. The first one I went to I really liked. My friend and I were given a gift of some beautifully packaged homemade bickies, as it was our first time there. They also gave out little treats to mums and children whose birthday it was. As it was near mothers day we also got a lovely laminated bookmark with a beautiful quote! It was a good sized group and very multicultural, which I liked. The only problem was that it started at 9.30am, which is during Eva's naptime. So unfortunaetly we didn't continue wih it (felt bad because they made us feel so welcome )
The new one is in Takapuna. It's at a better time for us (10am) but is too big. Over 40 mums plus all their kids. The instructor is great though and there are lots of babies Eva's age. Afterwards they put on a nice morning tea and the children are read a (bible) story. They are about to set up another group due to the demand, so hopefully that will reduce the size.
Sorry about the novel!

Well you've already been to ours
I like it coz the people there have been really friendly from day one, I know a few of them from various places already but even people you don't know will come up and talk to you.
Some of the songs are a bit random but the leaders are really enthusiastic and the kids all get involved with shakers and scarves etc. And Maya came home from school singing one of the songs we sing at Mainly Music so was nice that I knew some of the words for her.
And I like the way they do morning tea, it's Mercedes and Sienna's fave part lol.
Oh and on Mothers Day we got a gorgeous ramekin each filled with lollies, that sold me if nothing else!

This one sounds EXACTLY like our one!! Luke tends to just sit there and watch at the moment, but am looking forward to the day when he can take part more.

Our ones just fantastic, I rave to everyone about it. They have a waiting list as soo many people are trying to get in and they also run two sessions one at 9.30 and another at 10.30 witha shared morning tea in between at 10am. They provide the kids iwth a small bag of food with crackerz, sandwhich, biscuit and a drink of water and mums get their choice ( and as much of) yummy slices, hot food, biscuits etc etc, the morning tea part is my boys favourite. The music itself is well thought out, there are two ladies who actually sing and are really boisterous and involved. They ask us to save our conversations till morning tea which we're all fine with (that's obviously not conversatinos with our kids). It's organised but relaxed and very very friendly.
