Good Luck. I'm sure they will be just thrilled. First grandchildren are pretty special.

Awesome!
Thats one of my only regrets with my pregnancies - both times my parents weren't happy about it. Was worse with Maya (I couldn't even tell Dad till I was 5 mths) but even with the gremlins he called them "a goose around my neck" - was a different story once he got used to the idea tho!

Aww yay!
When we told our parents I didn't know how to say it so both times we just said you are going to be grandparents or nana or something lol. Took my mum a while to click what this actually meant though.

Oh I'm so glad you got a good reception!!
My first pregnancy came soon after a genealogy stint of my mother's and, opting for something different, she decided she was going to be called Grandy - one of the names she had found in her family history by some random. Ugh. All us kids hate it, especially as it sounds so old and she's nearly 46! But she got her wish, maybe your dad will too LOL

Its a bit of a gamble telling your parents aye! I remember when I first found out I was pregnant I went round to my dad and step mums place and kinda brought the topie of having babies into the conversation and they were like, you've still got ages, kids are hard work etc, so I held off telling them - I had told my mum though and some other family members knew, so I told them a couple of weeks later and they were stoked, so that was great! They seem pretty excited, but theres still a few months to go!
