Well if you're able to see your breath in the morning as soon as you wake up........I think that's too cold!!..and that's what it's like in this icebox of a house lol. Yah LL is putting in a heat pump in a couple weeks...and we just picked up a big trailer load of wood......downside is I had to empty it in the pouring rain....well I offered since I can afford to get sick since I'm on holiday lolz. I think it really depends, with no insulation, wooden floors, and no afternoon sun this place gets really cold, and it isn't just at night, it's all day long.

our house is about 20'o all the time.
we keep the bathroom doors etc shut as thats the coldest room in the house, we have a heatpump in the lounge which is the most pathetic thing out!!! we have it on literally all the time! as it doesnt really crank out the heat. and the heat doesnt really go past the lounge.
we have a micathermic goldair panel heater on the wall in between the 3 bedrooms its set on a thermastat, im a real sook and i hate the cold! but our house is SO hard to heat once its cold .

our power bill for the house is HUGE its biger than our bill for our business(which includes 3flats and 5hot water cylinders, and a 7 bay industrial workshop! all off the same meter)
i think its the heat pump.
