Yes, I am now a member too!

I kicked a door with my little toe at lunchtime on Friday... had some arnica, and didn't think much more of it. By evening, my toe was fine and it didn't bother me at all over the weekend. Lunchtime Monday it started to throb again and by last night it was driving me nuts!

I went along to the doctor, and she said that it is probably broken but there's not much point in getting an x-ray to confirm as it is more hassle than it is really worth when there isn't anything extra they can do. So now my little toe is buddy-strapped with a bandage to the next one, and I am under instructions to keep it up as much as possible... my pregnancy swelling kicks in around 3pm so I have my feet up most of the afternoon anyway!

becca my mum has done that twice, and each time was annoyed she couldn't have a cast or something to get extra sympathy - so she took several (like twenty) photos of her toe.

LOL Becca that's what I did to myself almost as soon as I got out of my foot cast earlier this year! Fortunately it doesn't take too long to come right. Probably a good excuse to keep your feet up

Ouch, my foot is still heavily strapped and now attending physio. But i'm glad to have ditched the crutches and able to walk by myself again.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Its strange... after not bothering me all weekend then building up until I went to the doctor yesterday, my toe woke me last night because it was so painful! I was awake for about an hour, with a throbbing toe and sympathy pains in my foot and calf! I couldn't take any painkillers because I'd taken some 2 hours beforehand, when I went to bed.

I went to the chemist this morning, and bought another bandage, some fabric tape (for securing the ends of the bandages) and some strapping tape so I can go swimming in my parents pool over Christmas. I know both the boys are going to want to spend as much time as possible in the water, and Nat can't look after both of them at the same time.

You could always just not have it bandaged when you go swimming.

I hurt mine again last night (by accident). I was about to fall over and i put all the pressure on my right foot. Its a little swollen but feeling a lot better than it was last night.

I thought about not worrying about it when I go swimming (mmm... pregnant lady, hot summer, cold pool) but the pool floor is a little uneven and that is a killer!
