Topic: Tired? Or sick? Posted: 31 August 2007 at 10:14am |
Wow, the gremlins woke up at 7am this morning (an hour earlier than usual) and were a pair of grouchy toads so I put them back down again at 8am hoping they'd nap for an hour or so and wake up happier, and they're still asleep!
They're either super tired... or else they're brewing up yet another cold or bug [;s]

Maybe they were so excited bout our playdate yesterday they wore themselves out?!
Nah, seriously, I have no real theories here, neither of my kids are sleepers. Kaia has not ever had a nap that long in her life!!
They have had a crazy time lately with all the pox etc etc, maybe they are just a bit worn ut?

Maybe they are just catching up after all the previous bugs. I have wondered this for ages - do they always wake up at the same time, or does one wake up the other?

Hope it's not another bug - you need a break from bugs for a while. Hope they are feeling better now

Well Sienna was just catching up and I suspect that Mercedes was too altho she has been at the docs (yes again *rolls eyes*) for antibiotics coz her ear is giving her trouble again.
And Aimee usually when I hear one wake up and I go in there the other one has woken up too but occasionally one wakes first and has mummy time while the other ones stays asleep. And during the night if I have to go in and give Mercedes back her Peter in the cot Sienna sleeps thru it.

OT but I was wondering when did you put them in separate cots, Emma? My housekeeper's DIL is about to make her a nana x2 (well actually in March) and I'm full of questions (not to mention being clucky! )

if i had twins i would want to keep them together as long as possible - but i guess the logistics of trying to get 2 to sleep is a bit different from my romantacised view of 2 cuddling each other.
when jordis was in neonatal there was a set of twins in there, they were born at 29 weeks due to twin-to-twin transfusion??? (is that what its called? one was big and the other was tiny) and the little twin was in an incubater, the normal sized one was in a regular bassinet. anyway, a couple of times the nurses would put the bigger twin in with the wee guy, for a sleep or whatever, and it was the cutest thing you ever saw! they would cuddle and hold hands, the wee one would snuggle into the big ones chest. you could so tell that is how they would be for life, the big one looking out for the little guy.
ooh, OTT a bit!
