Topic: TMI!!! Posted: 04 May 2008 at 9:06pm |
Hi laides
well I just went to the loo and we dont flush every time if its just me and DH as we are on tank water... so I had been wee a few times and I noticed in the loo there was a little bit of pink like two little dots...I havent had anything on the loo paper and any other discharge has been white....not sure weather to freak out or call the obstatrician or just keep an eye on things?
not sure if its anything or if it came from me or what!!!
anyone had a similar thing? or know what it could be?

Don't freak out! Is baby still moving OK? It could have been a blemish in the TP or something (I am like the super TP analyser lol!). I'd keep an eye on it tho, if you have any more call your OB. My midwife's rule of thumb is anything more than a tsp of blood/bloody mucous.

Oh duh, I just realised it was in the toilet. Could be rust in the water, or blood from somewhere else eg. haemerrhoids?

I'd say it's unlikely, but keep an eye on it anyway. If you're anything like me you'll be in and out of the toilet every few mins checking now anyway

Hmmm, its probably nothing hun, but just keep an eye on it, like Emma said it could be from haemerrhoids?
I know I thought the water looked a lil pink once after Id gone for a wee and freaked out, but then when I went again a few mins later it was normal, so I think I might have been seeing things lol.

thanks ladies..called the ob last night she said probably nothing to worry about but to go in today or tomorrow to check all is ok...havent had any signs of anything so thats all good
also DH was thinking and hes not sure if he did nor not but he may have spat in the loo (sorry if TMI!) after he drank some cranberry juice...which could have been what it was....so the plot thickens really
so glad that I will go see ob today or tomorrow to make sure all ok
going to be an over obsessive tp checker now!!!

lol at DH, my DF did a similar thing to me! We had had a shower and DF had just had a wart burt off that day and it was starting to come off. Anyways I was sitting on the couch afterwards and DF comes out holding my knickers which had a huge bright red blood patch on them and he was like Umm sheena whats this!! And I TOTALLY freaked out and grabbed them off him nearly crying and looked at them only to see the blood was on the side of them, and also when id gone loo there was no blood.
Turns out the blood had dripped from DF's arm onto my knickers! So that was panic over!

lol MEN!!!!
I went to the ob today and baby was fine and couldnt find any reason if it was from me...I decided not to embarass myself in front of the obstatrician by telling him that it could have been from DH but just at the end as we were about to leave DH piped up and told him that he may have spat in the loo.....lol! talk about embarassing! the obstatrician probably thinks we are some country hicks lol! DH is an electrician too so came to the obstatrician in his work boots and work gear...there were men in suits in the reception looking DH up and down! maybe not many men visit the ob in Parnell wearing work gear lol!
