Does anyone have a toddler who wears glasses (permanent not just reading)??
How did they adjust to it??
Astin has just got glasses and although he will wear them all the time and will refuse to take them off.....he tends to tilt his head forward or back so he can look over top or underneath them rather than look through them!! we have to keep reminding him to looking through his glasses!! excuse the cheeky rabbit teeth! |

   So cute.
Could it be that the rim is in his eyeline? ie. he's looking over or under the rim? It might be a case of them sitting a bit low on the bridge of his nose and they need to be pushed up a bit (and the nose things tightened).

 HTH.

   Aww hes a cutie!
From the photo I'd agree that the glasses are riding too low on his face. Generally speaking the pupil of the eye should sit in the middle of the lens of the glasses.

From experience I find it does take a few days for my eyes to adjust to new glasses, so that may be part of why hes avoiding looking though them too?

My DD wears glasses and has done so since she was about 6. She adjusted fairly quickly. She got a new pair a month or so ago. We've had to get them adjusted a couple of times to get them comfortable on her face.

Oh he's so cute! I agree they look like they might be sitting slightly low. He will adjust to them over time. Even I looked under or over my glasses when I first got them and I was 18 at the time. It's usually cause the eye is automatically attracted to the frame. Can be a hard concept for a child to grasp, the idea of looking BEYOND what is right in front of their face.Possiblly a bit late now, but frameless glasses night be an idea?

we had them adjusted twice at visique its hard to make them sit right bcos he broke his nose a few months back so the bridge is a bit out of wack I wanted the frameless glasses but they said that what i got was the closest i will get to frameless for a child so young |

What about an elastic band thing that will hold them on (like baby sunglasses have)? That is, if that's the problem (rim in eyeline).

DS1 is just turned six but glasses earlier this year.
They are a pain for their age, as they have no bridge on their noses yet to hold up the glasses!!
He's on his third pair already as broke one pair and just lost the new pair!! What a worry!
Took him a while to get used to them too, cause I noticed them always slipping down, but I think slowly they adjust

Gosh, I can't even remember how I got used to wearing glasses, and I was an adult lol - it was a long time ago!
Maya's BFF has worn glasses since she was about 18 months-2ish, and I know her mum has had a mission trying to get her to keep them on over the years, altho as she's gotten older and realised that she can see better with them on, she's more compliant. She did have a stretchy rubber band thingie on them to hold them on when she first got them.

I agree with the others too - they really suit him. Cheeky!
