Topic: Headaches Posted: 01 December 2005 at 11:52am |
Has anyone else suffered from headaches during pregnancy. It has only been in the last two weeks where I have been getting annoying headaches. I have heard that panadol is ok to take is this correct??

Panadol is ok but I think you have to tell your midwife / check with them so they can monitor what you are taking during pregnancy.
I've suffered from migranes all my life and they got worse when I was pregnant - could take Panadol as directedon packet but had to let my midwife know.
Hope this helps

I had awful vision blurring headaches, that would come on real fast, stay for aout 15 mins, then go just as quick before I found out I was preg, then I got milder ones further on. It is really important to tell your midwife, and also to keep your fluid intake up, as dehydration is the cause of alot of headaches. don't forget to tell your midwife, especially if they make your vision blurry or you feel faint.

I had the blurry vision and headaches when i first got pregnant too, tell your midwife as it also could mean that your blood pressure may be up like mine was.

I'm only 8 weeks pregnant but I'm getting the headaches (didn't get as many before I was pregnant). I found that putting pressure of the top of your thumb nail (up by the cuticle) helped to reduce the "pain". Just an alternative for those not wanting to take panadol
