Hi ladies, just a copy and paste from a comment I made in the TWW thread, wondered what you all thought?

I'm still waiting for AF to arrive....did a test this morning and it was a BFN..... yet when I went back it was a faint BFP?! But that was after 10 minutes so I'm thinking it is a false positive. My boobs are still huge and sore and my temp still seems to be going up.....but again, I only started charting halfway through this cycle so am sure that won't mean anything either! Now I'm typing I can imagine how my mind is probably making up all these things and AF will arrive any second!

hey Emmecat, they say after 10mins not to take any notice of a second line as it could be an evap line...i had excatly the same thing a couple of days ago, and kinda hoped, but it wasnt.

Fingers crossed for you, do another test in a couple of days

I got a faint positive after about 10 minutes once and thought it was an evap line but it wasn't. Test again in a couple of days and see what happens. Good luck!

yeah same think happened to me both time sin early pregnancy.. it took longer because of the low levels of HCG cause i tested so early..but unfortunately could be an evap line.. does it have colour to it? I would wait (i know its hard) 2 days then test again too..

Hey ladies cheers for that. I think it might be an evaporation line..although impossible to tell. I know last time I was pg it took AGES for it to show on a hpt. I won't bother testing again until Friday if AF hasn't turned up. I'd be very surprised if I was pg this cycle, but obviouly pleased. If not, then at least I will half some charting epxperience under my belt and be ready for next month!

I found the Quick Cards the most reliable, since they're pink in colour.
As said above, evap lines are greyish in colour.
The Clear Blue (with the control and test lines in one window, not the one with two windows) I found to be the worst for evap lines.

Good luck to you though

I found the ClearBlue's useless too, I got a really, really, really squint-and-you-see-it faint line on one, so I did a First Response (the proper test one not the strips) and got a BFP straight away, then had my hCG's done the same day and they were at 137 so it should have shown up waaaay stronger with the Clear Blue than it did esp since I used FMU.

Hi everyone

Great feedback about the different pg tests, I'll keep that in mind! Also thanks heaps for the well wishes. Unfortunately AF arrived with a vengence this morning..... I thought she might yesterday as my temps took a big nose dive .

Oh well I guess we'll try again next month....was really thinking this time around was going to be lucky..

From my experience, I have always had sore boobs, well before BFP, and as soon as this happens I know I am prego.

Test again in a couple of days - or if your nuts like me test again within a couple of hours LOL.
