Does anyone know if you can get hair styling products that are 100% natural? No chemicals and crap in them? I dont use shampoo and conditioner anymore (baking soda instead). I have quite short hair and definitely need some product in there else it goes flat. I have seen some sea spray stuff but dont know if that will do the job. Any ideas?

I use half a thumbnail of coconut oil to style after I wash my hair. I have frizzy/curly shoulder length hair and it works for me.

I also lather my hair with coconut oil for a few hours every few weeks to help keep it soft as I spend ( or did before becoming pregnant) a lot of time scuba diving so lots of sea water.

How do you find the baking soda? Do you mix it to a paste before you use it?

Thanks for that, might try it. Where do you get coconut oil?

I love the baking soda - no more itchy scalp and only need to wash twice a week, if that. I mix about a tablespoon of BS with about half a cup of water and just mix it til its dissolved.

You should be able to get it at any asian / indian food shop. I paid $5 for a bottle that I've had for about a year now.

A friend of mine uses it as a moisturizer also. I'd started using it on my tummy but DH it would seem isn't too fond of the coconut oil smell. *sigh*

Try almond oil if coconut doesn't do it for ya?
