Hello Ladies,
I know I've either made a thread similar to this, or read one lol....but for the life of me I cannot find it, so please forgive me!

I had a m/c (4-5 weeks) in december. And since then my periods have started weird. This (current) and last cycle I have had spotting for 2 days before any actual bleeding. So which is day 1? The spotting or the bleeding. My periods have always been about 4 days and this is still the same. And still light.

I know this is all sounding jumbled and I apologise.

Last 2 cycles went like this:

Jan 23-24 spotting
Jan 25 - bleeding (if counted as day 1, cycle went for 28 days then on 29th had spotting for 2 days before bleeding)

So am I on a 30 days cycle?

I am so confused!

I remember reading that most woman believe that day 1 is when you get full bleeding. But as this is the 2nd cycle this has happened, is my spotting day 1?

If you cant make out what I'm say, just ask lol

Thankyou :)

I thought it was the first day of full bleeding but to be honest it confuses me almost as much!

thats what i read once too bella...

but still makes me wonder as last couple cycles i'll get the spotting for couple days then only bleed for a day then more spotting.. even this cycle ive had the 2 days spotting and then today bledding, and even that has tapered off quite a lot today.

and its actually quite normal for me to only require the use of a tampon for one day during my period as its usually very light. i just use a panty liner.

i guess if it continues like this i should see a doctor reguardless of ttc or not?

Hey,
My last 2 periods have started with spotting for 2 days before she arrived in full force for a day maybe 2 days.

I spoke to my doctor about it when I was there for something else and he said that the spotting was day 1.

I guess they all say something different though! But that is what my doctor told me.

The way they explain it to us at F+ is:

It's the day you wake up with AF.

If bleeding starts after noon, day one is the following day.
