Topic: How much does your baby move? Posted: 06 March 2008 at 8:07pm |
I swear this girl never stops moving! She usually "wakes up" while I am driving Maya to school and thumps away in there pretty much all day non-stop. Not that I mind, it's reassuring, but none of my other kids moved this much, she moves more than both gremlins combined.
Does my baby have ADHD already? And please tell me that a hyper baby in utero isn't a hyper baby once it's born!

Sorry Andrew was one hell of a hyper baby in utero and once he could walk at 9 months he has been a hyper boy ever since.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Probably all it means is no anterior placenta Can't really help with your question though cause I've had AP at least twice!

LOL Teresa, yep, placenta is definitely posterior and high, I've had it checked soooo many times coz of the random spotting which can be a sign of placenta praevia.

LOL I did consider that, and also that my uterine walls are thinner coz of how stretched they got last time which might make movements easier to feel.

Teehee...you know my story. Elle was like that and when she came out...didn't sleep and was fussy, fussy, fussy. She is still a goer...doesn't like to be still.
I doubt your girl will be like Elle though! She might just be a wriggler.

Yeah Spencer was the same, when I was in for monitoring at the end of my pregnancy all the midwifes would comment on it (was strapped to ctg twice a day). He is very active and alert but he is also a good sleeper (oh god, should I have written that down, touching wood now)

My baby moves around SOOO much, especially while im driving, he thumps around and cause's his mummy much discomfort lol. I have to rest my hand on my tummy while driving so I can push him back when he starts hurting me lol!!
He is very very active and SO strong! I was actually thinking the other day, Oh my gosh whats he gonna be like as a toddler! lol a little spit fire and cheeky just like his father I expect

Puku Luku definately has awake and asleep times that tend to follow a pattern already, 10pm is a favourite but I'm hoping thats just cos its my bed time and he has more room to move when I'm lying down - so dont want a wee bubba who thinks 10pm is play time eeeek.
Would be interesting to keep a bit of a journal about the movements in the last 10 weeks or so and see if they correlate to baby's activity levels in the first few weeks.

Can't wait to feel some movement! A few weeks away yet, though.

yeah me too..all the time and he is certainly a little mover now hes here but is getting into a sleeping pattern(shouldnt have written that either but never mind) :)
kiwikid-people kept telling me that when he was awake in the 3rd tri would correlate with with he was awake when he was born..i was like..whatever but its true....230 500-530 every morning.. :)

Xavier was really active in-utero - so much so I didn't bother keeping a kick chart in the last few weeks, even though my midwife wanted me to. He's a busy boy now too... commando crawling all over the house at 4 months, crawling properly at 6 months and walking by 8.5 months, running everywhere by 1yo.
Jackson seems to be quite active too - not as much as Xavier was, but more so than either of the other two.

My baby has awake and sleep times - he usually kicks around in the mornings and at night times and seems to have quiet times in the afternoons. DH felt movements for the first time the other night and he was amazed at how strong the kicks were at this stage!
