This may seem a strange question.... but how much wax do your kids get in their ears? Alex has very very waxy ears. I clean them in the morning, and sometimes even by that night you can see all the wax building up again. If I don't clean them for 2 days they look awful, as though they haven't been cleaned for a week. I'm starting to wonder if he has a big wax build up, and maybe he isn't hearing well because of it.... and that's why he still isn't talking??
my boy had the waxiest ears i had ever seen, and he was a slow talker too... but the docs always said his ears were fine and not related. in fact he could always hear fine when i mentioned lollies or ice cream...
LOL! Yes I'm sure Alex can hear those words too! Alex did have his ears looked at a few weeks ago when he was sick, and the dr never said anything, so I guess they are ok. Maybe I'm just making excusses for his lack of talking!!
Michaela could give Shrek a run for his money with the amount of wax she produces and interestingly she isn't a talker yet although I've never linked the 2, like your boys she can definitely hear... particularly when words like chips or icecream are mentioned.
