I am the opposite - DHwouldlove another and i don't so theres no advise here - sometimes when oyou just make your mind up thats it - if you are in the long run goig to have another - ask his reasons for waiting...

It did take a bit of convincing, we knew #2 would be in the pipeline within 2-3 years of Jack, but seeing as we're not doing as well financially it makes sense to get both kids out of the way (so to speak) so I can go back to work earlier.
I really had to explain to DH though that even though we are TTC when Jack is 8 months old that is takes 9 months to grow a baby so there will be an 18mo gap! Lol my DH wasn't having a smart day

Hmmm cant help you on that one. My partner wants to wait til I've finished my degree, which will be in three n half years since I'm changing degrees next year (if I get accepted) I also want to lose weight as well.
But then again DP said one time that when Kahtrell is out of nappies then we can have another!. So yea ideally #2 will be down the track a couple years at least, but I definitely wouldn't complain if #2 decided to come earlier
Good luck!

I think Ann has good advice. Are you trying to convince him to have another? Or are you trying to convince him to have another NOW? If you are trying to convince him sooner rather than later, then it may just be a matter of talking through his concerns - and perhaps find out when he thinks he'd be ready for number 2.

I pretty much told him that I wanted another baby and he had no choice but to agree as we'd only just gotten back together, I think he'd have agreed with anything I asked at that stage lol!
After the gremlins it took a bit to convince him that we should have another one, he did agree but in the end the choice was taken away from us anyway when lil miss decided now was the time a few years ahead of schedule.
Now I'm saying no more and he's saying he still wants more. I'm not sure how serious he is tho, but everytime I look at Chiara I think it would be nice to have another. Which does NOT mean I am going to have another!

I didn't have to convince him. We already knew we wanted more than one & to have about 2 years between them. DP actually wanted 18 months between them but i said no way. hehe. So we'll be ttc in Feb next year. There will be just over 2 years between them if i get pregnant straight away like last time.

DH was talking No.2 the day Blair was born, in fact he told our MW that she's booked!!!! We're in the talks stage at the moment. Age is something that he's bringing into it, whilst I'm thinking of all the other bits and pieces

Not to actually try for number two eventually but had to beg to start sooner. We first wanted to wait until M was 3 but started getting really broody in the beginning of this year.
