um, i dont think it goes away until about 3 months after you give birth...
temporary solutions: go out with good friends for yummy cake and hot chocolate and talk talk talk
get hubby to cook dinner and snuggle up for dvds and massages.
go baby shopping
solutions for at work, eat chocolate and look at ohbaby!
sorry you're having a sad day linelle! hope you feel better soon

sounds like your having one of those days and yeah sorry, not much you can do about it for a wee while but do keep an eye on it if you think your getting depressed make sure you talk to someone. Everyone goes on about post natal depression but it is possible to get pre natal depression.

Hi Linelle, Cheer up luv.
My suggestion would be to go home, run a hot soothing bubble bath, light lots of candles and have a big box of chocolates sitting next to you to munch on while soaking away relaxing your muscles.
Or better yet, go home and get hubby to do the rest! hehe Even get him to feed you those scrummy chocolates and finish off with a lovely gentle massage afterwards.
Honestly though, if you are feeling that low, take the day or even the rest of the week off. You may just need to relax and be pampered. Don't sit and work if you are down. And keep and eye on your emotions too and speak to your midwife if you get concerned.
Smile hon...

hmmm I have days like this too - hormones! gotta luv them!
Just be kind to yourself - if you feel like going to bed early tonight when you get home then do it! If you feel like eating choclate for lunch then do that too! Sometimes we have to give ourselves some TLC!
I am sending comfort vibes you way!!!

Oh Linelle.....We wish we could help you but unfortunately there is nothing you or any of us can do in this situation. It is hormones and it will pass after you have your bub. This is not to say that you wont have another good time in between. You will have your happy /sad days.
I second the chocolate cake idea...I use to have a big piece every day from around 20 weeks till I gave birth!!! Come to think of it I still do....Oooops!!! Lol
Any time you need to rant and/or let your steam off....you have us. Big

I remember those days, I had them randomly right throughout my pregnancy.
My suggestion - take a day off and just spend it on yourself. Sleep in in the morning, book in for a facial or a massage, do some baby shopping or window shopping, buy yourself something indulgent for lunch. One day off can make a huge difference!
I reckon mental health days are completely necessary when pregnant - I reckon I took 10 of them through my pregnancy and couldn't have managed without them.

Thanks everyone. It helps alot to have you guys here.
Am feeling a bit better. I went down town and got a crunchie bar and a can of coke (really good choices). Am still tired and grumpy but hey never mind.
I have even been able to get Daniel to cook dinner.... fantastic.
I really like the bath idea but we don't have one we only have a shower. Is there any way to make a shower feel as good as a bath??

Yeah, definitely taking a "mental health day" is a good idea for those really bad days when you just can't cope at work and want to stay home. I would like to take more, but then I would have to listen to double the amount of whinging when I get back the next day, so I just come to work grumpy instead and make people suffer...(don't worry, they deserve it).
Funnily enough I haven't felt that teary during my pregnancy so far. I get more angry than anything.
There are certain individuals at work who make things worse when I'm feeling moody. I know I'd feel heaps better to just punch them in the face, however I don't think having baby in jail would be very nice

I lean forward in the shower so my fat tummy hangs and let the water run down my back, I find this the most comfortable because if I lean back I have trouble breathing. Make sure you use something nice and smelly so the bathroom fills up with yummy smells, maybe even take a plastic chair in and make yourself really comfy

I am feeling 100% better today I think i really just needed sleep and attention.
After having dinner cooked for me, a nice long smelly shower and a massage from my boy I was in bed at 8 and only woke up once during the night and then to my alarm at 6.30.
I just needed a good wind down.
