What about a mainly music class or playcentre? Mainly music is $3 donation each time per family and playcentre is $3 each visit for casual visits or $30.00 a term if you join up.
What is Jumping Beans by the way?

tried playcentre and that was no good and mainly music he doesnt like the music and got frustrated.
jumping beans is basically movement for the brain....its a gym class with equipment , eg climbing expanding chest muscles etc they also do floor time.... it helps them with social and brain develpment...there is a website..www.jumpingbeansgym.com they have it all over the world

Oh Arna goes to Jumping Beans with Kindy, they go on a Wednesday and she comes home with "Bean" stamps on her hands and feet... She is sooo excited to go! They use to go to one at the Sallies on Harwood (she's at Midcity) but this year changed and all the kids are so much happier, not sure why it is as i haven't been to either but she loves it.
Have you tried Barnados / KidStart etc? they run alot of Playgroup things and have "themes" to them (eg hand eye development / language development etc)
Not sure what else there is... be cheeky and ring Midcity and ask what they do with their toddlers for excursions - might give you some ideas

oh so your kid is the one with those cute yellow hats they sit down after class and all look inside the hats to see whos is who............i was cracking up yesterday watching them. Ty has stamps all over his body then he comes home finds the smilie stickers that i hide and puts them all over himself too..............
Ty gets really xcited about going when he goes through the doors ........this is why im at a loss if i really want to take that away from him..............suppose i could sell hubby to pay for it but i really dont think anyone with half a brain would want him

We are looking at a mainly music, its called hip hoppers. They only do about 15 of singing and dancing and then some food and they have a big bouncy carstle and bikes a stuff, all indoors. It's really fun.
It's out in Te Rapa so not so bad from were you are.
