So I have spent 3 days trying to find a tin of Karicare food thickener and nothing. Finally got hold of Karicare today and apparently there is heaps of stock but for some mysterious reason they can't ship it out. We depend on this thickener to keep Isobelle's food in her tummy otherwise she vomits it all up. And heaps of other babies depend on it to control their reflux symptoms. Its just not good enough!

sorry bit of a rant. but seriously if you are running out then I would start looking for it now or ring Karicare for a sample.

Hope Issy has a few settled days for you while you sort it out!

Are you able to use Resource food thickener? I often use thickener for patient's fluids (albeit with adults) and I find Resource much better than Karicare.

Thanks Babe that is so kind of you, Karicare are sending me a sample tin thankfully, it should be here in the morning.
Thanks for the suggestion Flissty. I bought a tin of Resource out of desparation and Issy doesn't like it. It thickens in the bottle too much and makes it very hard to drink. Plus since putting her on resource she has been having painful tummy cramps and runny poos.
