Topic: Metallic/foul taste in mouth Posted: 03 May 2009 at 6:18pm |
I have had it since 2 DPO and today is the worst day so far. I have tried brushing my teeth, often... Nada!. I have added flavour to my water..., all that achieved was peeing more often as I was constantly slurping on water. The only thing I found worked was raw onion I had in my american hotdog Fri night and I don't fancy eating raw onions 24/7.
I have mentioned the presence of this in another thread but was wondering if anyone else had this as an early pg symptom? Because if it is I will gladly suffer it if it means a baby at the end of it.
Thanks in advance for your replies

I had this as a pg symptom for DD4. The only thing that helped was Mizone flavoured water (lime), have no idea why!

Can you ask her when it went away - I'm so over it
Today was the worst day so far - have tried almost everything to hide it but its even changing the taste of food
But I guess if it means I'm UTD then I"ll live with it

I'm only 7 DPO today so am waiting till Friday 10 DPO (if I can ) and then I'll test with a discover which I am buying tomorrow and will have to put away lol.
If I am UTD I would love to know before Sunday so we can surprise his mother - she will be over the moon as NOONE expects us to have a baby, we have been very adamant that we are not going there

From about 6-7 weeks, it lasted for most of the first trimester.
Daizy are you TTC?

Well this hideous tastes seems to have waves, some days are much worse than others. I googled metallic taste and one website I went to said there were 43 reasons for it and most of them were some type of chemical poisoning.
So if it is due to baby does that mean that the baby is poisoning me? lol
