Topic: Reflect Ultrasound vs Chch Radiology? Posted: 21 March 2010 at 5:31pm |
So I'm at the point where I need to book my 12 week scan and was given a referral form by my midwife for Chch Radiology. But one of my friends has suggested Reflect is much better cos the images are heaps clearer and the price is just the same. They also do Saturdays which is a bonus, although my Saturday between 12-13 weeks is Easter Saturday so am guessing they will be closed.
If you're a Chch mum, where did you go? And do you have any recommendation/advice to add to this decision?
And do I need to get another referral form to book at Reflect?
Thanks!

I have been going to reflect this pregnancy and personally like it better.
They do a really detailed report and send an email link to all the pictures.
Also great for any scans past 12 weeks as you get 3d pics

I go to St Georges branch of CHCH radiology and I find them great. They seem to be the best ones out of that group. I havent been to the other one so I cant say!

I went to St Georges with both mine and they were awesome. I especially like how caring they were when I was being scan every 2 weeks after losing a twin.
St G's also do Saturday mornings and do have a 3/d machine.

I've been going to Reflect - like the others have said they are really good. I like that all pics are available for download after - but the others may offer that as well.

Oooh thats good to know St George is open on Sat morning, I found it hard organising scans so my partner could get time off, it doesn't say on the booking sheet that St G is open during weekends

Thanks everyone. I've ended up booking at Reflect - they do late nights on Thursday which is awesome, so we're off there next week. That gets me off the hook having to organise more time off work with some half-baked excuse!
Am horribly nervous and a bit excited at the same time, the nerves are pretty much winning at the moment though.

We went to Reflect for all our scans, they were great! Couldn't believe how many images we got emailed! The 3/4D scan at 32wks was amazing! Isla looks just like it!

Apparently all CRG places are getting the 3D/4D scanners, but not all of the sonographers know how to use them yet.
I had mine done at St Georges - just make sure you ask when you''re there if you can get the 3D scan cos they're not in all the rooms!

Hi, I went to St George's for my first scan and had a terrible experience. The lady was really rude and was clearly having a bad day. I had to wait over an hour (with a full bladder!) and the pictures were terrible. I had to pay extra for my CD.
So I went to Reflect for my next scan, had a wonderful experience, lovely scanning lady, beautiful pictures (including 3D) and didn't have to pay for the pictures.
No question where I'll be going again
