You should come join us in the Jan 11 thread

I would recommend my MW, but apparently I'm the last one she's taking on in Jan! She is part of the "west auckland midwives" group (google it), and from what I've heard they are all pretty good.

I also had Linda Norman for part of my care last time - she's with "midwives out west", and is pretty good

I've also heard great things about "the midwives" in green bay.

Good luck finding one - I know they book up super quick ( I was the last to be booked in, and I contacted her the day I got the BFP! )

I love my midwife, her name is Gail Kiss. I have a lot of faith in her especially as she has had 7 babies herself! PM me if you want her details.

I also work alongside the ladies at West Auckland midwives and they are lovely as well.

It depends on where in west Auckland you are - I tried Green Bay Midwives but as I'll be in Whenuapai they wouldn't take me.
I'm going with Angela Scott from baby on the way for the last month of my pregnancy as I'll be in the Manawatu until October.
They hold antenatal classes opposite Waitakere hospital

I second Angela Scott. I had both kids with her , the second a home waterbirth. She is lovely and really makes you feel at ease.

Thanks Red referred me to Gail Kiss, who has kindly agreed to take me on. She also said she'd tip Red $20 for a successful conversion!

Thanks again ladies. Hopefully it will make all the difference to have faith in my midwife

The Midwives in Green Bay are brilliant, I had Glenda and she was amazing. A friend had Abby and was very happy with her

I think it's important to know what you need from your midwife. for us it is that she is understanding and non-judgemental. our first MW experience was a disaster but we've got a better one now.

She has her flaws but she's probably the best fit for us we could want in terms of being accepting.
